Based on a 'Big Idea' talk I gave at WOW Durham, in this #16DaysOfActivism video I share what happened when I began to ask different questions about the changes I was trying to help create.
If we care about justice for survivors of sexual harm should we invest all our efforts into the state? Into the systems that are supposed to deliver justice? Or is there another way? Is justice something only the state can give? Or is it something we can give to each other?
Join me as I share my story of exploring a different path. Inspired by a desire to create change but willing to ask completely different questions, this is the story of what happens when you let go, you shift your attention, and you’re open to finding power in unexpected places.
